Simple Homemade Muesli

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of rolled oats
  • ¾ cups of coconut
  • ½ cup of pumpkin seeds
  • ½ cup of sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup of sesame seeds
  • 2 cups of dried fruit
  • 3 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • ¼ cup of honey


Method

Heat orange juice, honey and cinnamon in a pot until honey is melted. In a large bowl, combine the oats, coconut and seeds then pour over the honey mixture. Toss well then spread over two baking trays.

Toast in the oven at 160°C stirring every 5 minutes until golden. Roughly 20-25mins.

Once cool, toss through the dried fruit.

Use your muesli as a topping for a fruit crumble, a crunch factor on muffins or switch up your traditional muesli and try it bircher style!
